With today’s rising housing costs, there has been renewed interest in ADU’s (accessory dwelling units) as an affordable option for housing.
About one-third of DeTray’s Custom Housing’s business is providing beautiful ADUs. We have lots of experience, and are committed to the concept. Multigenerational housing is emotionally and financially a great investment. It allows families to easily care for each other and/or can be an income producing rental.
DeTray’s Custom Housing deals with the top two manufactured home factories, Skyline Homes and Kit Custom Home Builders. We have over 50 floor plans ranging from 500-1250 square feet, which covers ADU sizes in most areas. These homes are 1-3 bedrooms, 1-2 baths, single-wide or cute double-wides. Every plan is customized to meet the specific needs the customer may have. Our homes are Energy Star, with forced air electric furnaces, basic fridge and stove, wood cabinets, and fiber cement exteriors. The customer chooses cabinets, counters, flooring, paint colors, covered porches, etc. There are appliance, quartz, tile, and other options if wanted. Our base prices range from $75,000-$200,000, including delivery and set up onto the customer’s prepared site within 75 miles of Puyallup, WA. We can also deliver anywhere in Washington with extra hauling charges.
DeTray’s has contractors that will do the research, and give the customer an itemized bid to prepare the site. They get the building permit, foundation, skirting, porches, septic, water, utility hook-ups, gutters, garage etc. The contractor does everything and the home is prepared for move-in readiness.
