Are Manufactured Homes Stable & Secure?

Custom Manufactured Home Model In Puyallup, Washington State

Nov 10, 2023

Concrete runners for manufactured homes are a type of foundation system used to support and stabilize the home. They are typically made from precast concrete and are placed underneath the home to distribute the weight and provide a solid base. These runners are designed to withstand the weight of the home and provide stability especially in areas with unstable soil or high wind conditions. They are an important component of the overall foundation system for manufactured homes. Concrete runners can vary in thickness depending on the specific requirements of the home and the local building codes. Typically, they can range from 4-8 inches thick. As for reinforcement, they are often reinforced with steel rebar or wire mesh to provide additional strength and stability. The reinforcement helps to prevent cracking and ensure the longevity of the foundation.

Skirting is an important aspect of manufactured homes, as it provides a barrier between the home and the ground. There are many different types of skirting available, including vinyl, metal and concrete. Each type has its own advantages and disadvantages, and it’s important to choose the right one for your specific needs. In future blogs, I will explore different types of skirting available as well the benefits and drawbacks of each. Stay tuned for more information!
